Stainless steel production 43 MMT in 9 months of 2021
The International Stainless Steel Forum (ISSF) has released figures for the first nine months of 2021 showing that stainless steel melt shop production increased by 16.9% year-on-year to 43.0 million metric tons.
First AISC stainless steel standards published
AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction) has published the first two stainless steel standards: ANSI/AISC 370-21 Specification for Structural Stainless Steel Buildings and ANSI/AISC 313-21 Code of Standard Practice for Structural Stainless Steel Buildings are available to download free of charge at Current Standards | American Institute of Steel Construction (aisc.org).

Venus Pipes & Tubes has filed draft papers with markets regulator Sebi to raise funds through an initial share sale. Through the Initial Public Offering (IPO), 50.74 lakh equity shares of the company will be sold, according to the Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP).

RCF Kapurthala rolls out stainless steel 3 phase MEMU rake
Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala has rolled out the first-ever three-phase Mainline Electric Multiple Unit (MEMU) rake to Asansol MEMU Shed, Eastern Railways. The rake comprising 12 coaches was rolled out in the presence of Ashesh Agrawal, General Manager, RCF. These coaches will be put in service after the performance trial. The electrics in the coaches have been provided by M/s. BHEL.
USD 125m loan to upgrade S. Dehradun water networks
The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a USD 125M loan to improve access to quality water supply and sanitation services in Uttarakhand, India. The project will construct 136 km of water pipe system to replace defective water networks in South Dehradun.
